Spencer Tunick's spectacular installation "THE RING" opened the 2012 Munich Opera Festival.
1.700 people were posing naked in Munich's city center for the US-American artist.
Tunick's art installation was inspired by
Richard Wagner's "The Ring of the Nibelung".
Tunick was using body color for the first time in an urban surrounding.
